This initiative serves as an umbrella brand, showcasing our dedication to collaborative efforts. SurreyFE represents the voice of the county’s Further Education sector and its Colleges, ensuring the delivery of essential personal and practical skills and training for students, employers, and the community.
At the core of SurreyFE’s mission is the strategic goal to meet local, regional, and national targets for 16-18 education and training, Apprenticeships, Higher Education, and Adult Training and upskilling. This mission is supported by the Local Skills Improvement Plans and the Surrey Skills Plan.
We are committed to mapping and developing curriculum that meets both LSIP/regional priorities and local needs, while breaking down barriers to participation through initiatives like Bootcamps, programmes with Job Centre Plus, and partnerships with the voluntary and community sectors. Through the launch of the SurreyFE website and branding, we aim to enhance recruitment and progression across Surrey Colleges, creating a ‘whole Surrey’ offer that fosters opportunity and supports economic growth.
We will continue to foster project-based collaboration, competitions, CPD, and the annual Teaching & Learning conference, focusing on sustainability, retrofitting, and making Britain a clean energy superpower. Together with large employers such as the NHS, Ringway, and local airports, we will address key skills gaps to ensure a productive future workforce and an NHS fit for the future.
